Booktime in the classroom

Why use your Booktime packs in class?
In a recent evaluation, we asked teachers what benefits they felt Booktime brought to their school. Here’s what teachers said:
• 91% think Booktime helps children engage with reading for pleasure
• 89% say Booktime helps them as teachers to support children to enjoy reading
• 84% think Booktime helps families engage in reading as family
We’ve gathered here all the session ideas and activity sheets for this year's two Booktime titles: Why Elephant has a Trunk from the Tinga Tinga Tales series created by Claudia Lloyd, and Face Painting by Monica Hughes.
You can also read about Making the Most of Booktime to find five easy ways to make Booktime in your school a powerful celebration of the pleasure of books.
