Fun half-term activities to do at home!

Its half term and your probably wondering what you could be doing with the little-uns to keep them happy and busy!

Well don't fret, the Booktime team has developed some fun activities based on this year's Booktime books Why Elephant has a Trunk (from the Tinga Tinga series by Claudia Lloyd) and Face Painting by Monica Hughes.

We think we've got something that most children will enjoy doing, including the following:

• Colouring and mark making - bring out the artist in your child with wonderfully vibrant mark making activities!
• Crafts - get creative and make cut-out masks, finger puppets and more
• Reading the Booktime books - learn about the Booktime books and encourage your child to think about how it may relate to them or get them talking about different things which they may be interested in..
• Session ideas - We've got some great ideas, including: activities concentrating on movement, role-play, speaking and listening, and learning about the world.
