Many libraries use the Booktime library resource pack to support special events and activities celebrating the Booktime book gifting programme, and to promote messages about libraries and reading to families.
The Reading Agency has consulted with libraries to gather ideas of how they have used the pack to promote Booktime, family reading, and use of the library. We are sharing some of these ideas to help libraries make the most of the Booktime library resource pack.
Booktime is a great opportunity to flag up the library to parents, reception teachers, and children, as a fun place to visit, read and share. Here are three simple ways of using the pack to do this. For more ideas please refer to the Run Your Event page of the Communications Toolkit and to the library case studies.
